Ingredients & Substitutions

  • Cake Mix: Use your favourite flavour. Vanilla makes a nice contrast with the dark fondant, while chocolate is another great option.
  • White Fondant: Most of the white fondant is tinted beige for the vampire faces. Keep about 1 oz white for the fangs.
  • Black Fondant: This creates the vampireโ€™s widowโ€™s peak hairstyle.
  • Butter: Use softened unsalted butter for a smooth, easy-to-spread frosting.
  • Black Decorating Frosting: Store-bought black decorating frosting makes piping the eyes and smiles quick and easy.
