Look what’s new from Kellogg’s

Kellogg’s has launched some new products this summer including Special K Popcorn Chips,  All-Bran Blueberry Brown Sugar Flavour Cereal Bars, and Vector Protein Chewy Bars.  I was sent a package full of these new snacks to try out for myself.

The first of the new products I tried was the Special K Popcorn chips in Butter flavour.  They also come in Sweet & Salty but I haven’t tried that yet.  These are only 80 calories per 20 chips which is pretty awesome as far as satisfying your cravings while still staying on track with weight management. I really enjoyed the butter flavour, it reminded me of theater popcorn with extra butter when you eat it the next day.  You know how it starts tasting a little bit stale but somehow better than when you first got it?  Seriously, I love that, that’s my thing.  The texture of the chips though are nice and crunchy though, they look and crunch somewhat similar to mini rice cakes.

My favourite of the new products though is the All-Bran Blueberry Brown Sugar Flavour cereal bars.  These are made with blueberry infused cranberries and brown sugar with each 30g bar coming in at only 130 calories.  Since they contain natural wheat bran fibre they are also a high source of fibre, free of trans fats, and low in saturated fats.  Oh and they are simply delicious as well which will make it really easy to get a whole lot of fibre into your diet without feeling like you are chewing on a cardboard box.

The box also included Vector Protein Chewy Bars in both Peanut and Mixed Nut flavours.  They contain 11 g of protein and 5 g of fiber per bar which is definitely helpful in achieving the right nutrition for an active lifestyle.  These bars are full of crunch nuts that have been dipped in a chocolate coating for a tasty sweet and salty flavour.  These protein bars are a nice change from the usually unpalatable protein bars I have tried in the past.

  49. I want to try them all, but I would check out the Vector Protein Chewy Bars first! With 11 g of protein and 5 g of fiber per bar I’ll be interested not only to see if I like the flavour, but if one bar leaves me feeling satisfied.

  112. I love blueberries so I think the All-Bran Blueberry Brown Sugar Flavour Cereal Bars is the product I am most excited about! I think Keloggs has a great variety of snacks as well as their cereals. Thanks!

  130. The All Bran bar works best for me. As a person who has no teeth, anything soft and chewy is more preferable than hard and crunchy since my Gums would be sore trying to chew or break anything that is hard.

  155. I am super excited to try the Vector Protein Chewy Bars. I have been searching for a yummy protein bar, and though I have tried almost all of them out there, I have only found one that is tasty enough to eat the whole thing!
