Cottonelle Wet and Dry Routine #LetsTalkBums

I have a confession to make.  I used to steal baby wipes when nobody was looking to wipe my bum.  It usually involved sneaking into the baby’s room to snatch a wipe, racing to the bathroom and then sneaking back into the baby’s room to dispose of the wipe in the diaper bin since you can’t just flush them.  I was addicted to that super clean feeling that toilet paper alone just can’t provide.

I needed help.

That help came in the form of a 2 week challenge my family took on from Cottonelle to do their wet and dry routine.

Now I can use wet cloths to wipe without having to sneak around and hide it.  I can just wipe and flush since the Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths use a patented dispersible “SafeFlush” technology that allows them to lose strength and break up after flushing.

The Cottonelle Cleasing Cloths come in two varieties, Fresh Care and new Ultra Comfort Care which has a gentle touch of shea butter to leave you feeling clean and comfortable..   The Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths are available in an upright dispensing tub as well as in a pop-up tub, the Ultra Comfort Care comes in the pop-up tube only.  Both dispensers feature moisture lock seals to keep the cleaning cloths fresh longer and are crazy easy to open.

The upright dispenser has a small footprint  so it takes up little space in the bathroom and keep cloths close at hand.  The pop-up tub features some pretty designs so they can work with your bathroom decor.

There are also to-go packs perfect for tucking in your purse so you can feel fresh anywhere you go as well as refills for the dispensers.

Flushable Cleansing Cloths are designed to safely break down in home septic systems and will not affect the normal bacterial activity in a septic system.

Cottonelle toilet paper is available in three varieties to best suit the toilet paper needs of your family.  Cottonelle Clean Care is strong and has extra-absorbent ripples. Cottonelle Ultra Comfort Care is cushiony and luxurious, and Cottonelle Gentle Care has aloe and vitamin E for an extra gentle, soothing clean.

The wet and dry routine is working really well for us, especially with Keira being daytime potty trained now.  It is just so much easier to use a strong flushable wet wipe when she needs one than to mes around trying to figure out what to do with a dirty baby wipe.

It’s certainly made for an easier transition for her so this is a routine we will definitely be keeping up.

  1. We have used flushable wipes, but not Cottonelle as of yet. I would love to try as I find the “no name” ones to be very thin and fall apart easily.

  2. I have been doing the routine before they came up with the wipes. I used to use baby wipes and was so glad they came out with the ones we could flush! Yes I have tried it and I love it, wish it was a little cheaper though.

  3. I’ve tried it. Sometimes I use it and sometimes not. I think it’s a good one for kids to get doing to keep them cleaner

  4. i have not – though in a pinch, I’ve used baby wipes when he stash of TP was in the main washroom. I rather liked it .
