These Wood Slice Unicorn Ornaments are an adorable DIY project for you and the kids to tackle over the holiday season.
They are an easy to make craft that also make for a great gift and look great on a Christmas tree.
They are so simple to make that even kids can tackle them as a fun Christmas kids craft. You can customize them with different colours of paint and get really creative with them.
Wood Slice Unicorn Ornaments
Supplies:
Wood Slices
White & Pastel Paint
Paintbrushes
Twine or Ribbon
Scissors
Glue
White & Pastel Felt
Gold Glitter Foam
Paint Pens
Flower Sequins
Instructions:
Remove the twine that comes on the wood slice.
Paint the wood slice white or a pastel colour. Allow paint to dry completely.
Cut ears from felt and inner ears from bright pink felt. Refer to the photo.
Glue the bright pink inner ear to the felt ear.
Fold the ear at the middle and add a dab of glue towards the bottom and pinch to shape the ear. Refer to the photo.
Cut two identical unicorn horn shapes from gold glitter foam. Glue pieces together back to back.
Glue horn on top of the wood slice.
Glue the ears on top of the wood slice.
Glue sequin flowers and leaves to the top of the unicorn.
Use a black paint pen to add eyes with lashes to the unicorn. You can use pink paint pens to add rosy cheeks if you want to.
Turn the ornament over and glue twine or ribbon to the back for hanging.
Your ornament is finished and ready to be the star of the tree!
