This Pumpkin Spice Latte is the BEST recipe for this classic! It’s simple & quick to prepare. Get ready pumpkin spice lovers, Fall is coming!
It’s that time of year again, when fall approaches we start to crave pumpkin spice lattes. It’s a seasonal favourite that brings back memories of cooler weather and leaves changing colour. This year, I’m sharing my favourite recipe for the perfect pumpkin spice latte that is sure to please even the pickiest palate! It’s made with actual pumpkin, fall spices, and regular coffee for the best flavor.
I love Starbucks, I do. I just always find myself struggling to get the stroller and two babies through the door, usually while being stared at by other patrons. This has forced me to get creative with re-creating my favourites like the classic Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.
The benefit to making your own version of your favourite drinks is that you can avoid loads of sugar, plus my pumpkin latte uses real pumpkin puree. (That makes it healthy, right?) Yay for natural flavors!
I don’t suggest actually serving this in mason jars. The glass really conducts the heat and I felt like I was touching the sun after filling these up! I just wanted to show the finished colour of the latte rather than taking a picture of whipped cream in a mug. Just use a large mug and save your hands.
Read on for my easy recipe for homemade pumpkin spice latte, it’s a copycat recipe for a fall drink you are sure to love.
Bring on pumpkin spice season!
About the Ingredients for the Pumpkin Spice Latte
This Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe features simple ingredients you should already have at home. Top with real whipped cream and an extra sprinkle of pumpkin spice if you are feeling indulgent!
Pumpkin Puree – You can add more pumpkin puree, to taste, if you like a stronger pumpkin flavour. Add 1 Tbsp at a time. Make sure it is pure pumpkin puree.
Spices – You can use either this delicious pumpkin spice blend OR use store bought pumpkin spice.
Milk – This tastes best with whole milk, but you can substitute with 2% milk or skim milk, whatever you have on hand. Non-dairy milk like soy milk, almond milk, or coconut milk will also work. You can also use frothed milk if you have a milk frother.
Sugar – You can swap for a sugar substitute if desired like maple syrup, stevia, etc… You can also add more sugar as desired.
Vanilla Extract – You can use either artificial or real vanilla extract. Whatever you have on hand.
Coffee – Strong brewed coffee or hot espresso will give you the best latte.
