The Pound Puppies find they have their paws full with their newest adventures! In A Perfect Match, the Pound Puppies come to the rescue when a so-called “un-matchable puppy” finally finds his match – and loses him,  assist a shy puppy on a High Energy Scouts camping trip,  help a furless pup to bolster his confidence, and they have to investigate why a paper girl’s deliveries are always late!

Winner of the 2012 Humanitas Prize in Children’s Animation, the Pound Puppies series is currently airing on The Hub in the U.S. and YTV in Canada and stars the voices of Eric McCormack, Yvette Nicole Brown, Michael Rapaport, John DiMaggio, Alanna Ubach, René Auberjonois, and M. Emmet Walsh. 

As a child of the 80s, I used to watch the Pound Puppies and even had a white and black pound puppy with a red collar.  I was happy to see that the Pound Puppies had been revamped by Hasbro Studios which airs daily on The Hub Network.  Just like back in the day, the puppies are still hard at work find the right match for each and every puppy.  Obviously the animation style is quite different from the 1980s but this series is still full of great messages.

Keira is in love with dogs, although we don’t have one.  Walks are filled with her shouting “Dock!” over and over in glee.  Watching this DVD was no different.  She was as glued to the screen as a 2 year old can be.

This is a cute DVD for the whole family to watch, but of course little ones will really get the most of out it.
