These Mummy Cupcakes are a fun and spooky Halloween treat that kids will love. Perfect for serving at a Halloween party!
I love how these mummy cupcakes turned out, they are adorable and spooky all at the same time.
Mummy Cupcakes
Ingredients & Materials:
Dark chocolate fudge cupcake mix (eggs, water, oil)
Creamy vanilla frosting
White pearl Sixlets
Black food coloring marker
Halloween confetti sprinkles
Black cupcake liners
Decorating bag
Small basketweave tip
Directions:
Preheat your oven and line a cupcake pan with your black cupcake liners
Prepare your cake mix as directed on the box and fill your cupcake liners up halfway with your batter.
Bake as directed on box and let your cupcakes cool.
Cut the tip off your decorating bag and place your basketweave tip inside the bag.
Place your bag inside a tall glass, fold the edges over the top of the glass, and fill with your vanilla frosting.
Use your black food marker to draw black dots on the Sixlets then place a small amount of frosting on the bottom and stick to the top/centre of your cupcake for the mummy’s eyes.
Take the bag out of your glass, twist the top of the bag, apply pressure to the middle of the bag.
Place the tip onto the outside edge of your cupcake (flat side of the tip up) and begin frosting back and forth from the top to the bottom, leaving a small space for the eyes.
Top off with your confetti sprinkles

Instructions
- Preheat your oven and line a cupcake pan with your black cupcake liners.
- Prepare your cake mix as directed on the box and fill your cupcake liners up halfway with your batter
- Bake as directed on box and let your cupcakes cool
- Cut the tip off your decorating bag and place your flat tip inside the bag
- Place your bag inside a tall glass, fold the edges over the top of the glass, and fill with your vanilla frosting
- Use your black food marker to draw black dots on the Sixlets then place a small amount of frosting on the bottom and stick to the top/center of your cupcake for the mummy's eyes
- Take the bag out of your glass, twist the top of the bag, apply pressure to the middle of the bag
- Place the tip onto the outside edge of your cupcake and begin frosting back and forth from the top to the bottom, leaving a small space for the eyes
- Top off with your confetti sprinkles

Thank you! We made these for my son's first grade class. They had a party to celebrate the end of their unit about Egypt. Mummy cupcakes were definitely a hit!!
