What are Fluff Salads?
Fluff Salads are a light dessert salad made with mostly fruit mixed with marshmallows. They can be served as a side dish or as a dessert. (Although this particular fluff salad may be a little out of place as a side dish!)
The marshmallows add sweetness and texture to the dish. Common ingredients include fresh fruit, canned pineapple, walnuts and mini marshmallows. Fluff salads are usually dressed with cool whip and yogurt or pudding for an extra creamy texture.
This type of salad is very popular at potlucks and family gatherings because it is easy to make and requires no cooking time.

What To Serve With Oreo Fluff Salad?
Eat it with a spoon or serve with dippers. If you want some great choices for dippers, here are some favourites:
- Pretzels
- Cookies
- Nilla Wafers
- Graham crackers
- Animal crackers
- Oreos
- Sugar cookies
- Waffle or sugar cone pieces
- Pie crust “chips”
- Fresh fruit

Oreo Fluff Salad Topping Ideas
We top our fluff with more crushed oreos and marshmallows. Make it more decadent with a selection of other toppings like:
- Chocolate syrup
- Whipped cream
- Sprinkles
- Chocolate chips

Tips for Making the BEST Oreo Fluff Salad
- Make sure to give it some time to chill before serving. It’s worth the wait. The marshmallows will soften slightly in the pudding mixture.

How to Store Leftover Oreo Fluff Salad
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
Fluff salad is best served the day of but leftovers will be perfect for the next few days. If stored any longer the marshmallows will become unpleasantly soggy and mushy from sitting in the pudding mixture.
I do not recommend freezing fluff salad as the texture may become unappetizing.

About the Ingredients for Oreo Fluff Salad
Pudding – You can also use the sugar free and fat free versions of instant chocolate pudding. Just make sure it is the instant variety and not the cook and serve.
Milk – You can use any milk you like to prepare the pudding, or you can water if you like. Using milk gives a richer flavour to the salad.
Cool whip – You can use a light/low fat frozen whipped topping instead or make a homemade stabilised whipped cream.
Marshmallows – Only mini marshmallows will do, skip the regular sized marshmallows. Regular or the fruit flavoured ones will work, although regular will taste better in this mix.
Oreos – You want to crush the Oreos whole, with the filling. For a less sweet option, just use packaged Oreo crumbs.
Chocolate chips – I prefer semisweet to cut some of the sweetness of the rest of the fluff, but you can use milk chocolate chips instead if you like.
