These Christmas Tree Cupcakes are a great Christmas party idea that will have your guests asking for the recipe!
Aren’t these the sweetest?
They are so easy to pull off which makes them great for Christmas party treats that will impress your guests.
There may even be declarations that you must be one of those pinterest people! Chocolate cupcakes are great bases, try out the chocolate cake recipe found in my Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Cupcake Recipe if you want a chocolatey moist cake!
Christmas Tree Cupcakes
Ingredients:
12 cupcakes, chocolate flavour works great as the tree ‘base’
Green frosting
Mini M&M baking bits (if you cannot find these, you can get away with regular size M&M’s)
Wilton star sprinkles (optional – you could totally use a yellow M&M for a ‘star’)
Wilton decorating tip #101 (slant tip)
Disposable frosting bag
Directions:
These cupcakes are so easy to make and only take minutes!
Simply attach tip #101 and fill your frosting bag with green frosting. Hold the cupcake by the base and gently squeeze the green frosting out of the bag while slowly turning the cupcake.
Make a base with green frosting and then turn the cupcake as you make the ‘tree’
Add a few M&M’s for lights and and a star on top. Voila! Super cute Christmas tree cupcakes!
Place the cupcakes in the fridge a few minutes so the frosting sets up a bit. I’m always leery my frosting will fall.
