Why settle for one colour Car when you can have the rainbow? 8-in-1 LED Colour Changing Lights. The car starts white and then you can choose any colour in the rainbow (white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple) or cycle through all of them!
The LED colour changing lights are controlled by pressing the gold button on the hood of the car to select your car colour. Each colour turns off automatically after 30 seconds to conserve the battery.
The Rainbow High Color Change Car is a two-seater sporty convertible that fits 2 Rainbow High Fashion Dolls with working seat belts to keep your dolls safe. The colour changing car features a white body with LED Color Changing lights, black interior with RH logo monogram seats, working steering wheel and wheels that move.
The car is fairly detailed with Rainbow High logo details, silver trim accent trim & grill, plus a personalized license plate that says “Rainbow” adds a signature style.
Overall, both me and my 7 year old, Ava, really liked the Rainbow High Color Change Car, and she has been playing with it a lot.
That said, there were some disappointments, so let’s talk about the good and the bad.
The only really “bad” thing is that Ava was really hoping there would be a mode where the car lights up as an actual rainbow like in the illustration that is plastered on the box. Instead you have to choose one of the colours or the mode where it cycles through all the colours. So that was a bit of a disappoint for her, however she got over that pretty quickly.
She also wishes the car would stay lit up just a little bit longer than it does. However, I am glad it shuts off on it’s own to save the batteries.
The lights themselves are really vibrant in a dimly lit room, and the car looks it’s best in those conditions. In a well lit room you can still see the colours (check my photos) but the colours don’t give the same WOW effect and look a bit patchy.
The car is just plain white when not lit up which is fine. My only doll car when I was a kid was all white and it didn’t have cool light up effects like this one and I still loved it.
Overall, I do think this is a good addition for any kids who love and collect Rainbow High. Be aware that the car does not come with a Rainbow High doll, so if this is an introductory gift to the line, you will want to pick up one of the dolls too.
