Owl Halloween Luminary Craft

 

This Owl Halloween Luminary craft is a fun way for kids to make their own Halloween decor. Make this Owl Luminary easily with the free printable template or let your kids get really creative and make their own silhouette design for their Halloween luminary.

It does require use of an x-acto knife so younger children will require adult help and supervision.  Younger kids could also create their own much simpler design that they can cut out themselves with safety scissors.

Owl Halloween Luminary Craft

Supplies:

Colourful craft paper
Colourful Tissue papers
Scissors
Craft glue
X-acto knife
Pencil
Ruler
Printable Template

 

 

Directions:

Take an A4 sized coloured paper and fold it along the lines on the template.

 

 

Then use a pencil to trace and draw the owl from the template.

 

 

First, use the x acto to cut the lines around the owl.

 

 

Then cut the details out from the owl.

 

 

Cut out a yellow tissue paper enough to cover the owl.

 

 

Then glue it over the owl.

 

 

Allow the glue to dry.

 

 

Fold the whole paper according to the creases and glue the end to secure the fold.

 

 

 

Allow to dry.

Use only battery operated candles to illuminate your owl luminary.
