DIY Peppermint Brown Sugar Body Scrub

It’s always nice to be pampered once in a while, but the cost of pampering can be quite pricey if you’re to go to a spa or purchase products at the store. I love natural products, especially ones that can be made conveniently at home with ingredients that you already have in your cupboard. There’s nothing better than knowing exactly what is being put on your body and knowing that you made it! Here’s one of my favourite ways to exfoliate, soften and invigorate my skin!

DIY Peppermint Brown Sugar Body Scrub

Ingredients:

 ½ cup packed brown sugar

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

½ tsp. pure peppermint extract

Directions:

Mix ingredients together until slightly soft and grainy. If need be, you can add more drops of extra virgin olive oil slowly until you obtain your ideal texture.

The peppermint extract helps give an enticing, fresh scent and the cinnamon is slightly aromatic, while blocking out the dull extra virgin olive oil smell. This scrub will leave your skin feeling smooth and fresh, thanks to the extra virgin olive oil.

You can store in an airtight container and use in the shower – make sure to rinse your skin well afterwards.

Enjoy!

      1. Oh she does! As a matter of fact, she’s passed it along to her sisters and a couple of friends..she said to tell you.. “she’s dank”……… apparently that’s a positive thing in teen language.

  2. I’m so in love with DIY spa recipes that I can easily make at home. I’ve been so lucky as, my library has been running a program every couple months where a local lady who does it for herself comes in with all the ingredients and shares how we to make all kinds of things at home. I gave away a whole bunch of masks and scrubs at Christmas. all the ladies loved it.
