This blueberry compote is a quick and easy way to use up fresh or frozen blueberries in a super delicious way.  It’s perfect served over pancakes, ice cream, yogourt… pound cake, cheesecake, waffles… or even just by the spoonful.  You know, I am thinking this blueberry compote would be pretty darn amazing over a gorgeous panna cotta.

I’ve already used up the last of my blueberries from my yearly blueberry picking so I can’t wait to go again this year and stock up on blueberries.

  1. This looks so good, but I have a problem everytime I get blueberries for anything, I end up eating all the blueberries!!

  2. I still have some big bush blueberries in my freezer and you must know that I plan on using your recipe to make that delicious blueberry compote. Blueberries have proven to be a very healthy fruit and I think eating them helps in the prevention of strokes.

  3. Oh lovely, thanks for the recipe. This sounds to the contents for the blueberry pie my mum used to bake and that was heavenly too 🙂

  4. I have a bunch of blueberries here too that I wasn’t sure what to do with, because I don’t really like blueberries by themselves. This is probably THE answer to that!

  5. Here I am again and, because of a busy summer with company, I have yet to make this delicious and healthy compote. I plan on making it as soon as I get a few spare minutes. Thank you so much for this recipe.
