Disclosure: This post for Veal Saltimbocca Roulade has been sponsored by Veal Farmers of Ontario, however all thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.
Tender and flavourful, nobody will believe that this Veal Saltimbocca Roulade comes together in just 15 minutes.
Veal is featured prominently in French, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisines. Its history can be traced back to Roman times as one of the oldest food animals we raise.
Veal Saltimbocca is a traditional Roman dish that is made of the tenderest veal cooked flat with sage and prosciutto.
Saltimbocca means “jump into your mouth”. That says it all really, it is a crowd-pleasing dish that is bound to be a favourite when entertaining family and friends, but also so easy to make that it can be a weekday favourite too.
I have prepared it a little different here as I think it’s a little easier to cook to perfection in rolled form.
Why choose to cook with Ontario Veal?
Ontario veal is a delicious, lean, nutrient-packed, high quality protein that is produced with pride and care by local farm families.
A great protein for entertaining or simply cooking for your family, Ontario veal is tender and has a mild flavour that pairs well with stronger ones. The strongly herbal flavour of the sage and saltiness of the prosciutto in the Veal Saltimbocca recipe found below is a great example of how veal can really shine.
Ontario veal has a vast assortment of available cuts that can stand up to many different types of cooking from grilling to braising, roasting to pan-frying, and more.

I'm not going to lie, I have no idea how to pronounce that. However, it looks SO good and I'm totally giving it a whirl. I will sound fancy. People will be like, "What's for dinner?" lol

I will have to try it as it looks so good. I don't think I have ever had veal yet though. I can't wait to see how this tastes.
