There are amazing places to stay at on the Kenai Peninsula. You might not be the camping kind of traveler and would rather stay in a luxurious lodge or hotel. In Alaska, there are many different choices for your specific needs for accommodations. Here are a few of the top luxury stays in the Kenai Peninsula.
Granite Point Mountain Lodge, Seward
If you are looking for a very unique experience, check out Granite Point Mountain Lodge. Located 15 miles south of Seward on Resurrection Bay, it is only accessible by helicopter or water taxi. From high up in the mountains you can watch orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, and otters. Bald eagles often soar above and are nice to watch with a glass of wine in hand. They like to call their lodge Sophisti-rust-ication as it is a modern take on the old lodge feel.
Salmon Catcher Lodge, Kenai
Located between Soldotna and Kenai is Salmon Catcher Lodge. Seven lodges is a 5-star property on 4 acres in the middle of spruce trees. You can rent an entire lodge that can sleep 8-10 people or the main house that has three rooms and each one accommodates 4-6 people. If you want something more romantic, you can reserve one of the houses that have a Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. All of the lodges have full kitchens and living rooms.
Bear Creek Winery and Lodge, Homer
At Bear Creek Winery and Lodge there are only two coveted rooms, so if you want to visit, make a reservation early. This is the place to go for a truly romantic stay. The rooms are located right at the winery and you get a complimentary bottle of wine with your stay. The grounds are covered with plants and flowers and are a gardener’s paradise. A beautiful view of the Homer Spit is only one of the many awesome things about this beautiful property.
