I love popcorn. There was a time when I would happily eat the stale pink kind from the mall but then I decided I really only liked the theatre kind with extra butter. Recently though I’ve been dabbling a bit in gourmet popcorn and the theatre popcorn has pretty much gone the way of the pink popcorn of my childhood. Especially now that I have been introduced to Chocolate Peanut Butter Drizzlecorn from Popcorn, Indiana; now available in Canada!
How fitting that the new Popcorn, Indiana Chocolate Peanut Butter Drizzlecorn would debuts just-in-time for National Popcorn Poppin’ Month in October, Peanut Butter Lover’s Month in November, and of course for holiday entertaining.
Popcorn, Indiana prides itself on artisanal popcorn craftsmanship. First, the popcorn is hand-crafted in kettles and then given the VIP flavour treatment. Flavours range from savoury to spicy to sweet, and are devised by “popcorn chefs” with a wholehearted approach to creating unique and mouth-watering flavour combinations without artificial flavours or colours.
I honestly couldn’t wait to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter Drizzlecorn… because… popcorn, chocolate and peanut butter. How could they go wrong? Well I will tell you how. I am not entirely sure yet but these bags are either not nearly big enough or they are far too big. You see, on one hand, I wanted to just sit down and eat the whole thing and when I got to the bottom I kind of went Oh Gee! I need more! On the other hand, I kind of went, Oh Gee! Did I eat all that? Seriously guys, this is probably the most delicious and indulgent treat I have had in awhile. Plus its popcorn so that’s kind of like healthy, right?
Luckily for Keira she seriously knows how to turn on the cute so I ended up parting ways with a small bowl full of it. Not so lucky for Keira was that by the time she came back with her empty bowl and did a “Mommy, I want some mooooooooore, peease!” there was none left. True Story.
All Popcorn, Indiana products are certified gluten-free by the GFCO, made from non-GMO corn and contain whole grains plus they contain no High Fructose Corn Syrup, Zero Grams Trans Fat and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
Just be fairly warned that this stuff is highly addictive.
