 I really love trying out new makeup brands although I tend to wear natural looking makeup, there is just something about trying new colours and products that I find a lot of fun.   Plus you never know when you are going to come across just the right beauty product for you.  With that in mind, I jumped at the chance to try some Mía Mariú products and find out for myself what all the buzz is about.

I chose to try out Beso, Mia and Capricho Hydrating stick glosses from a range of different colours.  I was surprised at first at just how moisturizing these glosses were and how smoothly they applied.  Seriously.  The amount of moisture is substantial and its the first thing I noticed after applying each colour.  I recently tried out a tinted lip balm from another brand and there was nothing moisturizing about it, in fact my lips felt drier than ever.  So of course I am super happy with the amount of hydration these provide, they certainly out-perform that particular lip balm!

Beso is pretty close to my natural lip colour and adds a soft light shimmer with a really pretty hint of pink.  I loved how much it seemed to brighten my entire look and is perfect for my everyday look. 

Mia is also not too far off from my natural lip colour, although going in the other direction from Beso.  Mia works really well for both my day and night look.  It adds a coppery tone to my lips that is almost passable as shimmery, glossy nude with a sun kissed look.  This is definitely my new summer lip gloss.

Capricho is a lot darker than what I would normally wear but not so dark that I couldn’t wear it.  It’s a little bit outside of my normal “box” when it comes to makeup and to be honest would probably only wear it as part of a night look.  Mostly because it would make me feel self-conscious as my skin tone is pretty fair.  I think this would be great paired with tanned skin which might happen if I ever get to see a beach again.

This kit is perfect to tuck into your purse so you can touch up your look on the go easily thanks to the included mirror.  I especially love the Magic Satin Mineral Pressed Powder as it goes on so light and provides glowing coverage.  Plus, as a mineral powder it doesn’t cause issues with my pregnancy induced acne flare-ups.  Bonus!   I was worried about the pink tone of the blush but it actually blended in really well.  The eye-shadows are great to create a smokey eye look or even just for a hint of colour as eye liner (which is definitely how I have been wearing them).  The Petite Detail Perfecting Brush is meant for applying accent eye shadow and it works perfectly for this purpose.
