Homemade Invigorating Men’s Shaving Soap
Every morning is a good morning with this Homemade Invigorating Men’s Shaving Soap! The bright citrus scent is the perfect way to start the day, and it makes for a great Father’s day or Christmas gift for any man in your life.
Try using it in a simple men’s shaving gift basket by pairing it with a shaving brush and razor with a hand towel.
Bentonite clay helps the razor glide smoothly over the skin to help prevent nicks and cuts. Jojoba oil works to nourish the skin while the essential oil blend provides many benefits including an invigorating effect, antiseptic properties, a fantastic scent and more. You will need a shaving brush to use the soap.

Sounds interesting, would of never thought about making homemade shaving soap.
well this is just fabulous! never thought of making this myself and it is very straight forward. It would be a great gift to hubby and mean more than going to the store
Oh wow … I love this. We have often made our own soaps, but never his shaving soap which we always just purchase.
This is cool, we are always making homemade soaps and whatnot for us, and always forget about the men in our lives!!
I’ve never heard of anyone making homemade shaving soap before – got to be a first for everything right? This sounds fairly easy once you have all the ingredients together, will have to keep an eye out and see if any of my ‘lads’ still uses a wet shaver. Thanks for the idea 🙂
Now this is super sweet! I’ve seen all sorts of stuff like this for women, hand scrubs, deodorants…. don’t really see too much geared towards men! Thanks for sharing!
This would be a cool thing to make for my brother!
How would this be used? Does the brush need to be wet and then rubbed against the surface of the soap to lather? I’ve never made soap before so sorry if I sound lost.
Yes, you wet the brush and swirl it around on the surface of the soap to lather.
Where did you find the mug and shave brush pictured? I have looked everywhere for a similar mug with no luck or they’re very expensive. TIA!
Amazon for the shave brush, it was fairly inexpensive. The mug I already owned, it was my parents from the 1970s, so maybe a second hand store might have similar?
Awesome idea! Curious just how long you need to let it harden before use?
how long is this shelf stable?
Could you use melt and pour goat’s milk soap?
Yes, absolutely.
