It’s been a few months now since I got my Canon EOS Rebel SL1 and I really don’t know how I survived without it. It literally comes with me everywhere as I know I can rely on it to capture moments on film I do not want to forget. I even had it in my hospital bag to have my sister capture pictures of Ava directly after her birth. I’ve captured so many memories on my Canon and in the relatively short time period I have had it I’ve seen a dramatic improvement in not only my food photography, but I’ve actually been able to get a ton of gorgeous, blur free photos of my daughters!
Amazing photo right? Is it any wonder I almost always have my Canon attached to me, even at home? How else would I capture an expression like this one so perfectly? (Yay, no blur!)
I manage to carry my Canon Rebel around everywhere thanks to the handy but generic black camera strap it came with. I mean it functions. I will give it that. However it isn’t very comfortable for long periods and it isn’t very ME. It’s not often that I would opt for a solid black anything. I’ve been wanting new camera straps for awhile, especially knowing the events and travel opportunities I would be covering over the coming year. Not to mention Ava’s baptism and my brothers wedding come up. I wanted something comfortable, functional and of course something stylish that has ME written all over it. I’m the kind of girl with 40+ pairs of shoes and almost as many purses after all. 
I was able to choose a pair of PhatStraps that fit perfectly into the requirements I had set and actually exceeded my expectations thanks to a few features I hadn’t even thought of.
PhatStraps comes a large variety of patterns and even different styles so it is easy to find a look that matches your style. After much thought, I settled on Gray Chevy – Aqua Minky and Lagoon – Hoopla.
The Gray-Chevy-Aqua Minky features a chevron print in gray and white on one side with aqua coloured super soft minky fabric on the other inside. My favourite feature of this strap though is the quick release. It enables you to quickly unclip the strap and clip on a different one. Perfect if you share your camera with someone who does not share your sense of style, or if you want to change the strap to match your outfit.
The Lagoon-Hoopla strap is actually reversable. It features a fun print with circles on one side and smart looking stripes on the other. While this strap does not feature the quick release function, the reversability totally makes up for that. Two in one, baby!
Both straps are 30 inches in length so it is perfect for carrying your camera in messenger style.
