World Egg Day is taking place on October 9th. It is a global celebration of the nutritious power of eggs and the farmers who produce them.

This year, Egg Farmers of Canada is celebrating all the people who work together to deliver the fresh, local, high-quality eggs that Canadians love.

Of course, it all starts with Egg farmers, and coast to coast there are more than 1,100 egg farmers working to provide us with nutritious and delicious eggs.

2020 has shown us all the importance of doing what we can to support our friends, neighbours and community members. Canada’s egg farming sector stepped up to give back and support communities across Canada by donating millions of eggs to food banks across Canada. Now that is something to celebrate!

Not only are eggs packed with essential nutrients like vitamins A, D, folate, iron, zinc and choline but they are also super versatile.  You can made everything from Salad dressing to Cake using eggs or eat them alone for a protein packed meal. Talk about the perfect food!

I’m thankful that Canadian farmers work so hard to provide fresh eggs regardless of season.  Even Canadians in the Northwest Territories have access to local eggs, that sure seems like something to celebrate!

Harissa is an incredible hot pepper chili paste that goes beyond your typical chili sauce. It is spicy but it has a depth of flavour that is sweet and smokey with hints of garlic and lemon.

It really adds more than just heat to the deviled eggs so don’t cheat by using chili sauce. Go out and grab some Harissa and thank me later.

  1. We sure do love our eggs here and I love deviled eggs. They are always the first thing I go for. My husband will love the spicy spin with these.

This deviled eggs looks neat and yummy😋, I like that the ingredients are so few and most of the time I have in it my pantry. Thanks!
