Keira was a few months old when I first heard of Sophie la Girafe. When I first saw Sophie I was absolutely smitten and knew I needed to get one. Keira loved her Sophie la Girafe. She would hold Sophie’s neck tight in her little fist while gumming at Sophie’s head or legs. When Ava began teething we gave Sophie a bath and passed her on and if we have another baby I am sure Sophie will be passed on again. Even if the carefully hand painted spots have long since faded.

Sophie is also my go-to baby shower gift as I know she is an item that will be well loved and used. Unlike many other baby items.

On May 25th Sophie la girafe’s celebrates her 55th birthday! 

The most famous toy in the world for babies, over 50 million Sophie la Girafe all-natural baby teethers have been sold since 1961. A classic shower gift, Sophie had long been a fixture in nurseries for 55 years.
