Sleepy Owl Pure Baby Care Review
Sleepy Owl Pure Baby care is a line of Canadian made, fair-trade skincare products that makes use of natural botanical remedies to help with everything from stretch marks and restlessness to diaper rashes and early signs of flexural eczema. The special ingredient is Blue Chamomile, an essential oil is a known anti-inflammatory that can safely absorb into the bloodstream, effectively easing agitation and promoting a sense of calm.
I was sent a selection of Sleepy Owl Pure Baby Care to try out including baby’s blue oil, baby’s soothing 3 in 1 wash, and bottom balm.
I was really interested in the baby’s blue oil as it is petroleum free. I’m not a fan of rubbing petroleum into my babies skin, it just does not seem like a good idea when there are other options available. We used olive oil with Keira when she had cradle cap and it worked quite effectively.
Baby’s blue oil is said to soothe skin irritations, reduce redness, reduce skin sensitivities and relieve sore cheeks due to teething or to calm and relax. The ingredients are all recognizable: avocado oil, vitamin E, blue chamomile, and lavender oil. Seeing a list like that was a relief. Keira has had a weird rash on her tummy for awhile and nothing was working to get rid of it. It didn’t seem to bother her at all though, but there was a small dry irritated patch as well. I love how well the oil worked into her skin. You could feel it was being absorbed and didn’t leave behind a greasy mess the way mineral oil does and it also smells a lot nicer. I can’t say for sure that the oil cleared up the irritation but after a few days of applying it twice a day it was gone.
I also love that the bottle features a pump. It’s a lot easier to get the right amount out rather than dumping it in your hand and getting way too much.
The 3 in 1 wash is really nice, it has a strong lavender scent which is quite relaxing. It is a blend of 100% pure soap made with calming essential oils and is meant to be used as shampoo, baby body wash and as bubble bath. I don’t know everything on the ingredient list but it does include aloe vera, blue chamomile oil, lavender oil, and oatmeal extract.
I really love the bottom balm in particular. The first thing I noticed about it was how smooth and creamy in texture it is. The therapeutic ingredients are Organic Shea Butter, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Lavender Oil and Blue Chamomile Essential Oil. Keira had the start of a diaper rash so I threw on a disposable diaper and put on a nice thick layer of the bottom balm. When it came time to change her diaper again I was happy to find not even a hint of redness anymore. It worked really quickly to soothe her little bum and prevent the rash from worsening.
Overall, I am really quite happy with the results we have had so far from Sleepy Owl Pure Baby Care!

this sounds like wonderful stuff. It definitely sounds like it smells better than olive oil :-). That’s one of the ingredients that my daughter uses when making the solution for her baby wipes, so I’m sure this would smell much better.
I never knew how bad Olive Oil could stink until we used it to clear up Keira’s Cradle Cap! It was really foul smelling.
This sounds like a wonderful baby product. I also love that they are made here in Canada.

These sound like nice products and I love that they are made in Canada and not full of chemicals etc. Will let my friend know about these, she was mentioning the other day about trying to find some new baby care products.
