Organize Lunch Making with Rubbermaid LunchBlox #BetterLunchInASnap
Growing up it was my dad’s job to put lunches together for the three of us as well as himself. He did a great job of making healthy and delicious lunches and eventually I took over making them for myself. By the time I graduated from high-school I was over the entire sandwich thing. Pretty much as soon as I moved out on my own I started making family sized meals so I could eat leftovers for for lunch and dinner the next day. I’d pretty much rather eat the same thing four meals in a row than eat another sandwich.
It’s funny but my husband is the same way and always packs a hot lunch made up of leftovers. This of course means that over the years we have amassed a collection of mismatched lunch containers that somehow always end up in a jumbled mess in the cupboard despite my best efforts to keep them organized.
Lunch making has gotten so frustrating in our house between trying to find matching containers and lids to attempting to fit 3 sandwich sized containers into a regular sized lunch bag. A few months ago he gave up on a normal sized lunch bag and went out and bought a fabric cooler . I wish I were kidding. Seriously.
I was sent Rubbermaid LunchBlox to check out and life couldn’t be easier now.. at least when it comes to lunches!
I love how easy they are to keep organized as they stack and snack together with ease which in turns saves a lot of space. The containers snap to each other as well as to the awesome Blue Ice which keeps lunches chilled and fresh longer. This means you can feel more comfortable about packing items that spoil in the heat when the lunch bag will not be stored in a refrigerator – such as your kids school lunches!
The fact that they are perfectly sized for a variety of lunch foods is pretty great too for those of us that go beyond the sandwich for lunch. There is no wasted space, and no need to haul a cooler to your workplace just to fit everything!
It’s also a great way to ensure you are portioning your food in healthy quantities as well! I don’t know how many of you are binge snackers but I have a bad habit of eating when I am writing. I’ve been working hard to break that habit and the LunchBlox have been great for portioning out my snacks.
Since we do pack leftovers for our lunches, they tend to contain at least one messy item. Like Spaghetti sauce for example. Thank goodness the containers are leak proof! The lids fit on securely but they also pop off without causing strain which makes them great for little fingers too.
Clean up of course is always something I kind of dread doing. The piles of plastic containers that need to be hand washed .. just no. LunchBlox are microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe. This means the containers look great even after several rounds in the microwave or in the freezer and being able to throw them in the dishwasher just makes life so much easier!
Rubbermaid LunchBlox also seem quite durable which is something Rubbermaid is well known for. Case in point, my mom still has several Rubbermaid containers from the 1970s that still get used. Talk about vintage!

I love being organized for lunch. These are perfect for little ones and adults!
I take my lunch with me wherever I go. This looks like a great little kit. Mine would be filled mostly with vegetables.
I used to use something similar for my salads to keep the ingredients apart. That way nothing ended up soggy!
What a neat way to pack lunch. It looks like good size portions and convenient storage.
I normally make sandwiches. These are great containers. I love the compartments and have been looking for this product. I am going to take a look next time I go to the store!
I’m a huge Rubbermaid fan. I’m glad they’re making these now (or that I know about them now, I should day). I always trust Rubbermaid for quality.
I have a set of those and use them all the time. They’re the perfect size!
We have a LunchBlox and love it! I find it very easy to use and heat things up in.
I love lunches like that, it is so cute and not to say super convinient! Great idea for adding pasta sauce in it’s own container so they can pour over when it is time to eat!
I always use leftovers or make sandwiches. Kids love them both.
I really like this! I don’t have kids, but this system would be perfect for sending lunches with my husband to his work.
This is SO much better than a regular lunchbox. Nothing gets squished, and everything is nice and neat!
I usually just make sandwiches. I have one of these sets and I love it.
I try to send lunches that are left overs so nothing goes bad! Having separate places to keep it all is best to keep it fresh!
I love their lunch boxes. They are so handy,
When I pack lunches, I normally just do sandwiches! Add in a healthy side, and my son loves them.
When i am making lunches for my teenagers i make sandwiches and things they do not need to warm up. It is easier for them. I prefer leftovers myself.
These are so cool! We do both kinds of lunches at our house, this would be perfect for my husband!
These are great containers for packing a lunch!! I always send John lunches from home for work. These would be great for him.
This seems perfect for someone who packs their lunch! I love how the ice pack attaches as the bottom!
We have some of these! My daughter loves them!
I do both when packing lunches but my daughter isn’t too much of a leftover person. Who knew? LOL
I love these! They would be great for packing a picnic lunch too!
I have a few of these type of lunch holders and I love them. It keeps everything organize.
You make a good point about the portion size. That’s reason enough to go with them.
I don’t pack lunches these days but this would be a super container if I did. I know that they’d be ideal for my grandchildren who get an assortment of fruit, vegetables and left-overs etc for their lunch boxes.
That’s a great lunchbox! I usually do leftovers rather than sandwiches.
