I see Me! Personalized Children’s Books Review

I see Me! Personalized Children's Books

When a group of on-line friends decided we should give one anothers babies “secret stork” gifts for their birthdays I knew exactly what to get for the daughter of an author-friend I was picked to buy for.  I had read a lot about I See Me! personalized children’s books although I hadn’t purchased one for Keira yet.  I got her the My Very Own Name & Lamb Gift Set and was able to completely personalize the book for her daughter.  They loved it and when I saw the pictures of the book I knew I wanted one (or a few) for Keira.

I guess you could call it fortuitous that I See Me! contacted me only a few days later to check out their April book of the month, God Loves You! as well as a placemat and a colouring book.

About God Loves You

The God Loves You! personalized children’s book tells your child just how much God loves them… and that they are God’s special creations! It comes personalized with a child’s name on the cover and throughout the text. God Loves You! features beautiful poetry by award-winning children’s author Jennifer Dewing and colorful, whimsical illustrations by award-winning artist Maria Carluccio. The book is perfect for the birth of a baby, baptism, naming ceremony, first communion, Easter, Passover or everyday occasion. It makes a perfect gift for children of the Christian, Jewish or Muslim faith.

My thoughts

I really love personalized gifts and love this book eve

n more than the average personalized gift.  As a new mom I love being able to give such an exceptional keepsake to Keira and as a Christian mom I really love the narrative.  Aside from that I truly believe having a personalized book can really spur a child into a love for reading and books.  I certainly wish I had of been given a book like this as a child!  I was excited enough when I received an “Elizabeth” mug in a Secret Santa gift exchange in grade 6, imagine receiving a whole book about “Elizabeth”?

The God Loves You! personalized children's book

The narrative itself as well as the illustrations are really beautiful and unique.  It reminds me of a favourite childhood poem from “Prayers for Children” which I made my dad read me every night.  I just know Keira will grow the same level of attachment to this book!

Warning to other moms!  Reading this book got me so emotional – there were a lot of tears that first read-through!  Having given Keira this book I know that no matter what happens in her lifetime that she will be able to pick up God Loves You! and be reminded of both God’s love and our love for her.

Other Personalized Gift Ideas for Children

Your child will love to color the animals that bring letters one by one to spell out his or her first name, in this highly personalized coloring and activity book. The moose brings the M, the elephant brings the E, and so on. This fun-filled, educational coloring book helps your child learn to recognize letters and spell his or her first name, and it includes personalized games and mazes to enrich the coloring experience.

As an added personal touch, this high quality coloring book includes a printed dedication from the sender. It has a soft cover with premium white paper that provides great results with crayons, watercolors, pastels and pencils. Made in the USA and written by Maia Haag.

My Very Own Name Coloring and Activity Book

I chose this colouring book because I really loved what I had seen from the pictures my friend took and I knew it would be perfect for Keira.   This is a really good quality colouring book right from the illustrations and story contained within down to the quality of paper used.  For some reason I always think of that scratchy cheap brown paper when I think of colouring books but this one is printed on smooth and thick blindly white paper just waiting for a child to colour in!

My Very Own Name Coloring and Activity Book is also educational as much as it is entertaining.  This particular colouring book will particularly help reinforce spelling her own name thanks to the included activities.

We also chose a My Very Own Fairy Tale Personalized Placemat for Keira.

Our personalized placemats are the perfect way to make meal time and snack time more fun! Each one is made to order and is a special gift for any occasion. Our 12”x17” mats are made of high-quality durable plastic that can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not put placemat into dishwasher. Our placemats are printed in the USA, have been tested by an independent lab, meet CPSIA guidelines for food safety, and are BPA-free.

The size of this placemat is just right and I love the vibrantly coloured pictures – so sweet!  This placemat is sure to make meals more enjoyable for any little girl as they can view all the fairies from A-Z with the added touch of having their own name on it.  There is also a Pirate Tale version of this placemat more geared towards little boys.. or little girls who prefer pirates to fairies.

We have so many of their products. Each one has become a cherished item for our boys. I love the God loves me book. We have it for our youngest, and his brothers make me read it, even if he isn't there LOL

We have the happy birthday one, and the christmas one, and the placemat, and colouring book. Each item is such good quality.
