Full-Length Feature Film Available Now on Blu-Ray and DVD

My Little Pony Equestria Girls, the full-length feature introducing an exciting dimension to the incredibly popular My Little Pony brand, is now available on Blu-ray and DVD in the US and Canada. The DVD, which includes outstanding bonus features, is priced at $16.99 SRP and the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo at $24.97 SRP. My Little Pony: Equestria Girls is now available to order at Amazon.com.

When Twilight Sparkle’s crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, she pursues the thief, Sunset Shimmer, into an alternate world where she finds herself turned into…a teenage girl! To regain her crown and return to Equestria, Twilight must learn how to fit into this strange, new world and defeat Sunset Shimmer in a competition to become crowned Princess of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High. Luckily, she will have the assistance of Spike and five teenage girls who remind her of a certain group of ponies back home.

I grew up in the 1980’s as a huge My Little Pony fan.  I had a billion (give or take a few) My Little Ponies, drew Ponies and watched the show obsessively.  While I am not so obsessive over the current series, I have caught more than my fair share of episodes.  When I heard about My Little Pony Equestria Girls and the plot behind it, I was definitely curious to see where it would go.

This is a great film seemingly targeted towards fans of the series as there are a lot of inside jokes you wouldn’t get without having ever watched the TV series.   There are also a few good animal/human gags thrown in that will get a few giggles from the whole family.  Just like the series, this movie is full of singing, bright colours, and lessons about bullying, friendship, co-operation and more.

The DVD also includes nail decals as well as great bonus features including “Through The Mirror Of Equestria Girls”, Karaoke Songs, Pony-fy Yourself and a Printable Movie Poster.

  32. I was too old for MLP’s but my cousins had Rainbow Ponies so I guess I’d say those were the families favourite.

  33. My daughter loves twilight sparkle, she has all the stuffed animals and even had to name her beta fish after rainbow dash lol. Def her favorite cartoon by far

  65. I don’t know any of the character’s names but I’m sure my daughter could name them all. She has some of the actual pony figurines and watches the shows but I never pay any attention to know any of the names.

  68. We all like a different on but my daughter’s fave is Pinkie Pie and we named our kitten Rainbow Dash..lol
