Homewood Suites by Hilton #LdnOnt
During our recent family road trip we stayed the night at the Homewood Suites by Hilton® in London, Ontario after visiting Fanshawe Pioneer Village. The Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotel is just minutes away from White Oaks Mall as well as downtown London if you want to take in local restaurants. It is actually located in the Business District right off Highway 401 which makes it easy to get to and leave from. We’ve never been to London before, so being able to get off the highway and see the Hotel is a big plus and a huge stress buster. It’s nice to be so close to the hustle and bustle of downtown when visiting another city without actually having to find your way through it to get to your lodging.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how family oriented this hotel is despite obviously also being geared towards individuals on business trips, there were plenty of other families and guests of all ages.
Every suite features separate living and sleeping areas and offer all the comforts of home including fully equipped kitchens with full-size refrigerators, microwave ovens, coffeemakers, and a stove top burner. The kitchen was really handy for preparing Ava’s food and I can only imagine the savings having a kitchen on hand to use would present for a longer stay. I was actually super impressed to find that the Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel also offers complimentary dinner and drinks served Monday through Thursday as well as a complimentary hot breakfast buffet served daily.
We didn’t get to experience the dinner since we were staying Friday night, but breakfast was pretty delicious. I was able to make my own hot waffles topped with fresh blueberries and whipped cream while Keira enjoyed breakfast sausage, hash browns, and a hot breakfast souffle. There was also juice, coffee, fresh fruit, baked goods, oatmeal and more available so there were definitely options to suit just about anyone. Keira was also provided with a high chair so she could reach the table properly.
We had a King bed suite which features a bedroom with a King sized bed and a separate living space with a pull-out bed. There is also a TV in both the living space and the bedroom which offer a good selection of channels. Keira was extremely excited to experience the special treat of watching Bubble Guppies in bed. There is pretty much no way I can convey just how excited she was over it so I will just leave it at that.
We were also provided a crib for Ava’s use which was pretty perfect. It was great not to have to lug around our play yard for her to sleep in and have that crib provided for us.
Since the girls could have the living room to themselves for the night we were able to stay up past their bedtime. We were a little bit exhausted from our long day and ended up going to bed fairly early ourselves although I did make use of the complimentary internet service to get a little bit of work done first.
The hotel also offers many other amenities and conveniences like the indoor pool, fitness room, basketball court and even a putting green. I even noticed a card in the kitchen that you could have the Homewood staff do your grocery shopping – how amazing would that be on a busy extended stay?
I was really impressed with how comfortable and clean our rooms were. Even the pull-out bed was comparatively comfortable. Keira slept all through the night, even right through Ava waking up so that should say something! The rooms are also perfectly sound-proofed which is great when you have little kids and babies.
(I promise I made Keira take her shoes off the second after she jumped into this picture after ignoring my pleas to wait in the hall for me take my photos. She definitely knows better than to jump up on furniture with shoes on!)
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back for another stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton the next time we visit London.

Looks like a really nice hotel! So nice that the rooms are soundproofed. That is always my biggest complaint in hotels! We actually just went to the. Children’s Museum in London. We’ll have to consider spending the night next time!
With small children it is wonderful to have a functioning kitchen in your suite. long gone are the days that you asked for a queen size bed, now it is king size everytime, I think that will be the standard in most hotels soon
A putting green and basketball court? I have never stayed in a hotel with those amenities before. How cool is that? I would love to use that putting green, so would be husband. My son would go crazy about the basketball courts. Very cool and unique.
Wow, that’s a hotel kitchen? It’s nicer than my kitchen at home! (okay, not quite as big, but still really nice!) I love having a suite when we’re traveling with kids… so much easier! And cheaper to make your own food instead of eating out all the time. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Great pictures. This type of suite is exactly what I look for when I’m traveling with my kids. I’ll have to look up Homewood Suites by Hilton next time I travel.
Looks like you all had a good time! Really nice hotel!
This is great! I love going to London and usually have full days, but never think about staying the night. This looks like it would be a great place for me and the kids. Thanks PS The kitchen would be so handy for the kids late night munchies 🙂
Looks like a great place, but with living pretty close to London there is never a reason to stay even when we go to JLC for concerts we just drive back home
Looks like a nice inviting suite
What a great place to stay….impressive that they provided a crib! Never knew places did that kind of thing…
I love these types of places for extended stays. You feel like you can bring some normality to living on the road! And cook breakfast to save money!
Oh, this is very nice. It feels like a home instead of a transient living area. I love it so much.
Really nice rooms – I like the homey feel of the rooms – plenty of room to relax and enjoy the stay.
I’m sold since the rooms are soundproofed! I quit staying at hotels when we go on vacation and only stay at condos, villas, or beach houses because of the noise and privacy issues. I’ll be looking for Homewood Suites when we travel from now on.
I stayed at Homewood Suites in Dallas the night I got married. It was great! It was clean and like a mini apartment.
Love how it has a kitchen and everything, easy to make you feel at home!
This looks very Cozy for a hotel. love having a suite when I travel with kids.
Looks like a great hotel. I like having a kitchen in the hotel room. Big money saver.
This really looks like a home away from home. Super comfy and with enough space for the fam. Thank you for sharing this suite with us, I think I will keep them in mind next time I travel!
That is a great suite and it looks like it is perfect for families. I love that they gave you a portable crib because many places don’t seem to be accommodating parents now days.
I am all about rooms with a small kitchen area, even if it’s just a fridge and microwave in the room. Even as a food blogger I still like to save money on eating out and bring some of my own food from home.
What a spacious hotel room! We really love the Hilton brand of hotels and try to stay there whenever we can!
I worked at Hilton for many years in my early twenties and every time I went abroad I always stayed at a Hilton (Staff Discounts!!!). I was never disappointed. It’s a great brand.
This looks like a great hotel. I’m a big fan of the Hilton franchise.
What a great review of Homewood Suites. We’ve stayed at one and love it. The photos are beautiful and the review is consistent with our stay.
That looks like one gorgeous hotel.
If we ever find ourselves in that area I will now know where to stay! I love how nice it all looks!!
Wow, this hotel has such great amenities!
