Sew or iron on your appliqué to one of the larger pieces.
Pin the two larger pieces together, ensuring that the appliqué is facing out.
Using your sewing machine, sew together the two larger pieces just inside the outer edge.
Stitch a little further in, with embroidery thread, right through from back to front around the outer edge.
Centre the two smaller pieces on the inside of the cover piece.
Use the embroidery thread to sew straight down the middle, creating binding for the “book” and securing the “pages” to the case.
