What is more fun then getting together as a family and playing games? One of the first games I can remember playing as a family is The Game of Life. We had so much fun with it, although I don’t think we brought it out often enough!
Despicable Me is a family favourite movie my entire family loves to watch, so when I heard that Hasbro had brought out Despicable Me versions of two classic games, I knew I had to check them out!
Despicable Me Minion The Game of Life Game
You can now play The Game of Life with Despicable Me minions! Choose your Minion, choose a job, and let the fun begin.
The goal of the game is to try to bag 5 bunches of bananas as you move around the game boarder. The game is significantly different from the original Game of Life as there are no careers and no minion children. There are also mini-spinners at each junction that can send you in a new direction as well as “slides” your game piece can slide through.
This version of the Game of Life is much easier for younger players to play as there is only simple math involved and we found that it was quicker to play through with the average game about 15 minutes of play long. I would say this version seems aimed at young children learning how to play board games rather than older players like the original game of life is.

Operation Despicable Me 2 Silly Skill Game
Operation Despicable Me 2 is the classic skill game of Operation, only it has been taken over my minions! Operate on Stuart the minion to remove unicorn fluff or fix up his Banana belly. Collect the most of Stuart’s Funatomy parts to win but be sure not to set off the buzzer! If your hands are steady enough, you can win the Despicable Me 2 version of operation!
Just like the classic game you will use the tweezers to collect Funatomy parts! The only downside for me is that there is no on/off switch so the only way to turn it off is to remove the batteries.
The game includes exclusive minions with 50 minions to collect! (Each sold separately.)
