How do you make brown sugar glazed carrots?
The first step is to peel and cut your carrots, or skip that step and just use a bag of baby carrots.
Simmer your carrots in water until just tender.
Throw in a little brown sugar and butter with the cooked carrots until it all thickens up.
Serve and enjoy!
Can You Cut and Prepare the Carrots Ahead of Time?
Yes, you can cut and prepare your carrots up to 2-3 days prior to cooking.
I recommend making them fresh or using a bag of baby carrots if you don’t have time, but as long as they are stored in an air tight container in the fridge, this works just fine.
Ingredients for Glazed Carrots
Carrots – Make sure they are cute uniformly so all the carrots cook at the same rate. You can also use baby carrots.
Brown Sugar – You can substitute maple syrup or soney here.
Butter – Use salted butter, if you use unsalted, add a little more salt.
Salt – Helps make all the flavours really shine.
