What are your favourite camping sites on the East Coast of the USA?
Camping is such a great way to get out and slow down. We had quit camping for a few years and got back at last year realizing how much we missed it. I haven’t been to any of the areas you mention.
I love Camping , thanks for sharing , we go to a Place near us , its such a Beautiful spot 🙂 we love it there 🙂
Some great places listed here….and some new ones!
Assateague Island National Seashore sounds like a beautiful place to visit!
Our favourite campground was Cherry Hill Park (http://cherryhillpark.com/), just because we wanted to spend a lot of time in DC at the Smithsonian!
I don’t know how far “east coast” extends, but in-land you should add Red River Gorge. Features a few developed campsites and many undeveloped (my 13 yr old step daughter and her friend loved and learned from camping in bear country here…), beautiful hiking at all different levels and also canoeing and horseback riding etc,…
It’s about 40 yrs since I went camping, my son and family and my daughter and her family do go camping though – one family in a tent the other in a RV
These places all sound awesome, especially Myrtle Beach!
I haven’t visited any of these places for camping so I’m happy for the ideas! I’ve camped a few times at various campgrounds in the Adirondacks.
