Alaska has no shortage of visitors in the summer months as vacationers flock to this state. Alaska is the largest state and finding a place to stay, especially at a great B&B, can be both easy and difficult. With so many people coming to Alaska during a short time span, the limited numbers of rooms fill up fast. Most towns in Alaska only have a couple B&Bs and once those rooms are gone, they are gone. Here are a few of the best B&Bs in Alaska for you to check out.
Salmon Catcher B&B, Soldotna
Minutes away from the legendary salmon fishing that takes place on the Kenai River is the Salmon Catcher B&B in Soldotna. This B&B is a 4,400 square feet, 4-story luxury log cabin with a gourmet kitchen, two living rooms, and a beautiful deck to view the river. There is a private boat dock available as well. You can slip away for a romantic getaway or bring the family as the rooms are very spacious and can accommodate 2-6 people.
Black Bear Inn, Ketchikan
Escape up to Alaska and stay at the Black Bear Inn. Enjoy a fireplace in your beautiful room as your overlook the Inside Passage waterway. The Inn also showcases Alaskan art throughout the Inn. There are private rooms for those searching for a romantic stay or rooms that can fit the whole family. Whether you are jumping on a cruise ship out of Ketchikan or it is your main destination, staying at the Black Bear Inn is a must.
Copper Whale Inn, Anchorage
Located in downtown Anchorage is the historic home of a local doctor that turned into a beautiful B&B. Copper Whale Inn has gorgeous gardens and is a must stay when in Anchorage. There are private rooms and baths, plus two rooms that share a bathroom. The property is just steps away from both the bay and the bustle of downtown Anchorage. The rooms are comfy and the beds invite you to relax a little before you take in the rest of Alaska. The staff here is ready to help you in any way they can, as they are truly there to make your stay more comfortable.

I watch a TV reality show about homesteaders and I love the land and the people. The show is so interesting and these people are so self-reliant. Thank you for giving us information about where to stay if one was lucky enough to travel there.
