This recipe for Baked Crispy Chicken with Provolone is an amazing twist on a classic recipe that kids will love! Perfect for serving at dinner parties. This is a great dish to serve at the kids table on Thanksgiving and Christmas in case the kids do not like turkey.
Baked Crispy Chicken with Provolone
Ingredients:
- 6 Chicken Drumsticks
- 2 Cups of Homemade Breadcrumbs
- 3-4 Slices of Provolone Cheese
- Old Bay Seasoning, to taste
- Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
- 2-3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
- 2 Eggs, beaten
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Pat dry 6 chicken drumsticks, set aside.
- Add Old Bay and fresh cracked black pepper to breadcrumbs.
- Dip chicken into beaten eggs.
- Dredge chicken through seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Arrange chicken in a baking dish.
- Drizzle with 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
- Add more Old Bay seasoning and fresh cracked black pepper
- Bake for 50 minutes. Remove from oven and add strips of Provolone cheese in a crisscross pattern on chicken drumsticks. Place back in oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Serve.
