This recipe for Baked Crispy Chicken with Provolone is an amazing twist on a classic recipe that kids will love! Perfect for serving at dinner parties.  This is a great dish to serve at the kids table on Thanksgiving and Christmas in case the kids do not like turkey.

Baked Crispy Chicken with Provolone

Ingredients:

Baked Crispy Chicken with Provolone

  • 6 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 2 Cups of Homemade Breadcrumbs
  • 3-4 Slices of Provolone Cheese
  • Old Bay Seasoning, to taste
  • Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 2 Eggs, beaten

 

Baked Crispy Chicken with Provolone

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  1. Pat dry 6 chicken drumsticks, set aside.
  2. Add Old Bay and fresh cracked black pepper to breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip chicken into beaten eggs.
  4. Dredge chicken through seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Arrange chicken in a baking dish.
  6. Drizzle with 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  7. Add more Old Bay seasoning and fresh cracked black pepper

Baked Crispy Chicken with Provolone

  1. Bake for 50 minutes. Remove from oven and add strips of Provolone cheese in a crisscross pattern on chicken drumsticks. Place back in oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  2. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Serve.
