Baby Essentials: Cheeky Chompers Neckerchew & Mamas & Papas Baby Bud Booster Seat #FMEGifts14
Often when buying gifts for babies and toddler people head for toys or books and that is, of course, lots of fun. However I really appreciate the gifts for them that meet a real need and I’d like to share with you two baby essentials that are worthy of gifting this year.
Parents of babies and toddlers often find that space is at a premium in their home because of all the baby gear. This is especially the case in our kitchen as we only have an eat in kitchen area with no separate dining space. There is just no physical way for us to have two highchairs when there is barely room for one.
Step in the Mamas & Papas Baby Bud Booster Seat. This is really the perfect booster seat for both at home and on the go and its suitable from 4 months all the way up to 3 years. It does require some quick installation but I had the seat out of the box and in use in under 10 minutes.
The Baby Bud features a soft and easy to clean removable and comfortable seat insert, The insert is meant to be removed after 12 months but I keep it in because Keira is tiny anyway and I like to switch children at a moments notice. You can also use the easy to remove tray in three different positions as your baby grows.
The adjustable non-slip feet are genius. I am always facing issues with booster seats slipping around slightly on our wooden chairs but that is absolutely not an issue between the two chair harnesses and the feet. One Chair harness fits around the back of the seat and the other fits right under the seat which really helps to secure the Baby Bud in place.
The Baby Bud is also shaped so that it can fit my undersized children or much larger babies and toddlers. (Both my husband and myself are small people with mom’s under 5 feet tall so they come by it quite naturally!)
It’s so comfortable my girls don’t mind being sat in it for extended periods to play while I make dinner or clean up the kitchen.
I’ve found that the Baby Bud is perfect to get Keira at just the right height to be able to join us at the kitchen table and actually be able to see what is in her bowl or on her plate. We can take the tray right off to get her right up close to the table. The safety harness holds her in just as well as it holds in Ava so I am quite comfortable with the safety level of the Baby Bud.
The Cheeky Chompers Neckerchew could almost be mistaken as a simple baby fashion accessory. They certainly are cute enough and come in a large variety of different colours and patterns. You could get one to match every outfit in your child’s wardrobe if you so desired even!
The Neckerchew was actually created by a pair of mom’s and it is the world’s first chewy dribble bib for teething babies. It is made of super-soft jersey cotton with an absorbent middle layer to lock away moisture which of course helps to prevent the rashes that teething babies sometimes develop running down their front. It also has a Teether at the end made from silicone that has been designed to never flake or peel.
Ava, like most babies, loves to rip off any accessory that gets near her from bibs to hats but she loves her Neckerchews because of the chewy end. Ava still isn’t teething (as far as I can tell anyway) at 11 months old but she still loves to chew on everything she can. As you can imagine the teether is constantly in her mouth.
I can only imagine how much of a laundry saver this would be for a drooling baby and I’m looking forward to a lot less mid-day wardrobe changes this go around once that starts. In the meantime, she has fun and looks pretty fabulous at the same time!
*Update 12/03 – Ava’s first tooth popped out on December 1st, and with it the drooling started! The Neckerchews have been amazing the past few days at keeping her neck and chest dry – plus she absolutely loves chewing on it constantly. These are really amazing!

That booster seat is so cool! Baby products have come such a long way since my daughter was born in the 90s! I like that bib too, I have to remember to pick one up for my sister!
This looks like a really good booster seat, thanks
I love these suggestions and I wish they were around when my kids were younger. I love how fancy booster seats are now, The bib is a genius idea.
Omg we are currently looking for a booster chair for my princess and this looks pretty fabulous! Might have to look a little more into it 🙂
What a great booster seat. It’s perfect for my young niece.
This looks like a great booster seat! I sure wish they had been around when my daughter was much younger – she is 24. I will tell my friends about it 🙂
Very neat products! Thanks for the great recommendations! 🙂
This looks like a great booster seat, and so stylish too! Thanks for sharing!
I so wish I had a booster seat like that when my kids were little, we had some weird one that didn’t work so well. This one has options and looks comfy!
Love this! What a great idea instead of a highchair that takes up so much room!
That booster seat is really neat looking. It is great that it is comfortable so kids don’t mind being in it. Your girls are so cute!
That looks like a very nice booster. I wish I would have had one of these back when my girls were using boosters! I’ll have to let my sister know about it. Thanks!
I had a similar high chair when my 4 year old was small. I like it much better than free standing chairs…one less thing to trip over in the kitchen!
That is just great. My nephew is getting to the age to need one of these so I am totally passing this onto my sister. Thanks for sharing.
I love the neckerchew! What a clever and creative idea. I will have to share this with some of my friends who have young kids.
Seriously! Could those kids be any cuter?!?!? Thank you for your recommendation. I always like to see and read about things online before I buy.
These all seem like they would all be really great gifts. That necklace is pretty cool.
The booster seat looks all around and is heavy duty. It would be a nice gift for babies and toddlers.
That chomper at the end of the bib is brilliant! When she does start teething, it’ll be even more helpful!
I think I should add this to my shopping list. My 13-mo old niece should have this.
Your kids looks absolutely adorable! That booster seat looks extremely nice, I wouldn’t of minded having one when my daughter was young!
They look like great products.your daughters are adorable.
That bib is such a great idea for teething little ones. The booster seat looks so safe and secure.
That booster seat looks so cool and practical. Great idea for the little ones. Very cute photos
With all the grand-kids coming for a couple weeks this holiday season, we need a couple of these now!
At first I thought the pads underneath were wheels! Glad to hear they are non-slip, that would make it much easier!
What a great booster seat! We had a big one that required lots of space and wasn’t easy to move around. Bu this one is just perfect to carry with you also.
The Baby Bud booster seat looks really practical. I think it would be great for my little nephew!
We so could have used this for my toddler! He hated his real high chair.
This is a great looking booster seat. I like that it fits easily at the table. The bib is such a great idea for teething babies.
Great booster seat; adorable kids!
Great review! I may just have to check out the booster seat for my youngest boy for Christmas this year.
Wow that is cool! I always remember my kids slipping under the table! Will have to share this with my friend who has a newborn
Looks like a great booster seat at a great price as well!
Now that looks like a good one and perfect for babies too!
The non-slip feet really ARE genius. I hate when the chairs slip around.
This looks like a very hardy booster seat! I wish I had it for my kids!
Hmm. I may just have to check this out. It is quite the trendy little seat.
My nephew actually has one and it really helps. Before he had one, he’s get out of his seat and run around. I had to stop it because I don’t tolerate that behavior in my home. Everyone eats at the dinner table, and not runs around to slop food. It’s been a lot better and my sister even thanked me.
She has the most beautiful smile
Wow that’s the coolest booster seat I have seen and it looks so comfy which is important for babies 🙂
I can see that Keira loves the Baby Bud, great photo btw 🙂 I too couldn’t understand why it had wheels until I realised they weren’t wheels at all. Silly me 🙂
I thought they were wheel too to be honest until I got it out of the box! Keira LOVES the Baby Bud, she gets herself in it and even does up the safety straps herself.
That booster seat is so nice
This seat is amazing, I can’t wait to show my daughter-in-law
This looks like a great, sturdy seat!
