Gold Dipped Easter Eggs are an easy way to create a chic and mordern look with your Easter Home Decor.

Easter is quickly approaching and there is no food more perfect to celebrate with than with Canadian Eggs!  Not only are Canadian Eggs fresh, local and high-quality but they are delicious and full of great nutrition too!  Easter brunch just wouldn’t be the same without some freshly cracked eggs!

Of course when it comes to Easter it is fun to decorate your home with hand decorated Easter Eggs!  I look forward to putting together my Easter Home Decor and this year I designed these super chic and modern looking Gold Dipped Easter Eggs using Canadian Eggs.  Read on for the tutorial!

Gold Dipped Easter Eggs are an easy way to create a chic and mordern look with your Easter Home Decor.

Materials:

Hard-boiled Eggs
Food Colouring
Vinegar
Water
Liquid Gilding
Paint Brush

Instructions:

In a 12 oz glass mix together 1 tbsp vinegar with 3/4 cup water and 20-40 drops of food colouring to achieve your desired shade.

Use a spoon or tongs to gently place egg in the glass being sure that the egg is completely submerged.

Leave submerged for 5 minutes or so depending on how deep you want the colour.

For a speckled look rub off some of the dye with a paper towel and then re-submerge for another 5 minutes.

Remove eggs from the dye mixture and allow to completely dry before proceeding.

Carefully paint the egg with the liquid gilding in a well ventilated area so that it looks dipped.  You may need to do two applications.

Allow to try standing up.  Retaining the egg carton is helpful for this.

Once dry put up on display!
