Featuring styled photography and simple instructions, Be Mine brims with inspiration for making love-themed greetings to surprise and delight adults and children alike.”
I have to admit that I was expecting a large format book – because clearly I tend t gloss over little details like that. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a smaller format book – still easy to read and flip through – but does not take up as much space as my other crafting books.
Many of the projects require the use of printables that can easily be downloaded from the Chronicle books website as directed in the book. I thought that was really neat, and fairly unique for a book. The crafts are pretty simple in nature, and most use items you likely already have around your house. Especially if you make a habit of craft time with your kids.
The instructions are simple and the pictures are really quite pretty. Sally also offers great variations for each project to help you get a little creative with her ideas. It’s a nice little book to flip through and offers a nice selection of crafts perfect for Valentine’s Day!
This colorful and reassuring picture book follows Babysaurus on an adventure as he enlists his prehistoric friends to seek his Mamasaurus. Is his Mamasaurus the fastest in the jungle? No. Is she the loudest? No. Is she the best flyer? No! Of course, Mamasaurus has been right there all along. And when Babysaurus needs a little help, she is ready with a big hug and a sweet, leafy snack. For Babysaurus, his Mamasaurus is the best mamasaurus in the world! Stephan Lomp has illustrated several books in his native Germany, and in this debut as both author and artist, he has created a fresh twist on a perennial theme that will win the hearts of little ones and their mamas as they snuggle up to read a new favorite.
Mamasaurus is an adorable book that reminds me somewhat of P.D. Eastman’s Are you my mother, but with dinosaurs and modern illustrations. The illustrations are really quite adorable which black/grey backgrounds and bright, vivid dinosaur characters on each page. I love the contrast between the background and the characters!
I didn’t particularly find the story to be that great but my 4 year old absolutely loves this book and has joined her current rotation of frequently requested books. I guess there is no telling what will appeal to kids, and it isn’t just the illustrations she enjoys, she really loves the story itself. Then again, what child isn’t interested by Dinosaurs?
Horace and Hattie are hedgehogs, and the very best of friends. Together, they make daisy chains, splash in puddles, and have tea parties. But there is one thing they can’t do – hug! They are just too spiky. Throughout the seasons, these two hedgehogs will try many different ways of hugging. But will Horace and Hattie find a hug that feels just right?
Guys. This book is the most adorable and humorous kids book I have come across in a long time. It is almost certainly going to be come a classic children’s book. I read it to myself before reading it out loud to the girls and I honestly found myself sitting there by laughing out loud!
Of course, both girls (2 and 4) LOVE this title. It’s silly, it’s adorable, the story is engaging and the precious illustrations work so very well with the story. This is a title you definitely want to pick up for your kids!

I read the information on Multiple Sclerosis and found it very informative. My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s two years and some of the symptoms are similar-the pulling of muscles, lack of strength, etc. Fortunately, there is medication that will help Parkinson’s.
I found the information very interesting and enlightening. I hope that there will be a cure or better medication soon for all these ‘auto-immune’ disease where the body seems to turn on itself.
