These Santa Claus Cupcakes are great for bringing to a Christmas party – such a fun idea to celebrate this winter holiday!
Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year. I love everything about it; the lights, the cold weather, and most importantly- all of the delicious food!
Every year my family has a Christmas party where we make tons of cookies, cakes, and other goodies. This post will show you how to make some Santa Claus cupcakes that are perfect for your own holiday parties or just for snacking on while watching Elf (our favourite Christmas movie).
These Santa Claus cupcakes are such a cute idea for the holidays. They’re easy to make and they look so festive! You can make them with your kids too!
About the Ingredients for Santa Claus Cupcakes
Cupcakes – Any type of cupcake works here. Use boxed mix or homemade. Vanilla, Chocolate or Red Velvet. It doesn’t matter.
White frosting – You can use store bought vanilla frosting or make your own homemade vanilla buttercream.
Red frosting – You can colour some of the vanilla frosting to do this or use the wilton red decorating icing like I did.
Mini Red M&Ms – For Santa’s nose you want to use mini red M&Ms, you can get away with a regular size red M&M if needed.
Mini Marshmallows – Regular or jumbo marshmallows won’t do. You really need the mini marshmallows for these cupcakes. No substitutes.
Candy eyes – Wilton candy eyeballs, make sure you have enough for 2 eyes on each cupcake.
