Thinking back to my first pregnancy with Keira, I can remember being so excited to start shopping for everything baby. Fast forward a couple years and here I am with another 2 month old and despite having mostly everything we need for a baby girl I still get excited about baby shopping. After speaking to a few friends, it seems I am not the only one! The trouble is that even living in a bigger city there are few choices for baby shopping – especially when it comes to good quality items from Canadian brands.
Rose ou Bleu is a Montreal based Baby Boutique that offers an online store complete with a baby registry! They carry a variety of products for both the nursery and for playtime. I love that many of the brands they carry, such as Glup, Adzif, Maman Kangourou, Nneka, Attitude, Perlimpinpin, Piccolo Bambino, and P’tit coulou are all made and/or designed in Quebec.
Like many Canadians, I just feel that Canadian made products are of superior quality and will last longer. I also love being able to help support the Canadian economy by buying Canadian.
Adzif designs and manufactures wall stickers in Quebec that won’t remove paint and can easily by peeled off to be moved easily to another wall. They are bright and colourful and so fun looking; perfect for nurseries, childrens bedrooms and playrooms.
Talking about nurseries, one of the most important items to stock up on is sheets and bedding. Perlimpinpin, also made and designed in Quebec, specializes in Bamboo sheets and sleeping bags but carry many other useful products. One of our most used items to this day when it comes to bedtime are the nap bags. I always have such a hard time finding cute bags in Keira’s size but the Perlimpinpin bags that Rose ou Bleu carries are just adorable and even come in 18-36 month size! Perfect!
Another product that stands out from Rose ou Bleu is the Nneka nursing pillow – it is an extremely practical multi-purpose pillow that provides support during pregnancy, while nursing and even to help cushion your baby. It also comes in a variety of pretty patterns and is also made in Quebec.
They also carry many familiar and trusted brands such as Vulli, the makers of Sophie la girafe. Keira absolutely loved her Sophie and carried her around everywhere for the longest time. When I found out I was pregnant with Ava I had to hide Sophie away so that by the time Ava is ready to have Sophie Keira will have forgotten about her. At least that is the plan and hey, if that doesn’t work out I know exactly where I can get a new Sophie!
The online store makes it so easy to shop with simple categories, nice big photos and clearly marked prices on every item. It is also easy to create and share your baby registry with friends and family. Once you have registered and created your registry, just hover over a product you are interested in and you have the option to see more details, to add to your card or add it right to your registry! It couldn’t be any easier than that.
Rose ou Bleu offers free delivery across Canada on any online order over $150 before taxes – a minimum that is easily met when shopping for baby items!
