Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Popcorn Party Playset

Play-doh is always a hit in our house, as I am sure it is in most households with young children. When the kids are invited to a friends birthday party we always grab a play-doh playset from the toy store knowing it is bound to be well received by both the friend and their parents.

This year we got to check out the new Play-Doh popcorn maker toy for kids ages 3 and up which comes with everything you need to make creative Play-Doh popcorn masterpieces.

Use the Popcorn Maker to crank out “popcorn” into 3 buckets – small, medium and large sized. Then create fun play food toppings with the included stamps and molds to mix into your popcorn for even more fun.

I played with this set together with my girls for hours coming up with fun new popcorn mixes and “flavours”. The popcorn doesn’t resemble actual popcorn, but it is pretend play, and the kids didn’t question it at all. We mixed together yellow and white compound and it came out looking like buttery popcorn.

There are lots of little molds to make toppings and cookies. There’s even a gummy worm one! The hot fudge extruder was a big hit. We even found some pink compound and made pink candy popcorn – one of my childhood favourites!

The popcorn maker works really well and I love that it doesn’t require any batteries. A perfect gift to open straight away on Christmas morning as there is no need to scrounge around for batteries first.
