Coconut Covered Chia & Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Snack Bites are a perfect no-bake energy bite recipe for the whole family!
I remember the first time I gave my daughter a peanut butter and honey sandwich. It was like the light went on in her eyes with the very first bite. The next week was filled with demands for peanut butter and honey and it’s now permanently part of our lunch rotation. Even little Ava loves it, and rewards me with a giggle and an ear splitting grin when I place that open face gooey sandwich in front of her.
Thinking about it, it’s likely that many families have connected with each other over Kraft Peanut Butter and created special memories that help you stick together.
When I think of Kraft Peanut Butter the first thing I think of is how delicious it is when it melts on toast. It’s been a favourite breakfast item since I was a kid. There is just nothing like peanut butter dripping off a piece of hot toast. Kraft Peanut Butter can go beyond breakfast though and can be used for a ton of great snack time ideas including Kraft Peanut Butter Snack Bites!
The base recipe for Kraft Peanut Butter Snack Bites is simple. A little honey, large flaked oats and of course delicious Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter. It’s a perfect canvas for a little creativity and fun for the whole family as you work together to come up with new flavour combinations!
Get creative with your additions. Mini marshmallows, almonds, and raisins are all great choices. I opted for ground chia seeds for the additional nutritional punch and chocolate chips to make these snack bites appeal to my kids even more. We all love coconut so I grabbed some of that too!
They are so easy to make too. Just mix together the peanut butter and honey then add in the rest of your ingredients before stirring to combine. Roll into 1 inch sized balls. I used a dessert spoon to scoop up just the right amount for each snack bite, throw it in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes to chill. Then serve!

My 3 year old, Keira, had a ton of fun helping to make these even if she couldn’t quite master the art of creating a ball. She had a serious blast rolling the balls around in the coconut too! It took some convincing to get her to wait through my photography session since she wanted more than anything to try one.
I love how perfect these Kraft Peanut Butter Snack Bites are for our family. Keira loves to eat because they are bite sized and so deliciously good. Plus they are packed so full of protein just one or two is enough to get her through the afternoon when she craves for a snack. Hiding the chia seeds in these is a great way to get Omega-3 and fibre into your families diet plus combined with the Kraft peanut butter there is a total of 7g of protein per serving (or 2 snack bites). Seriously it’s a pretty amazing snack!
If your family is vegan you can even change these up by swapping Agave nectar for the honey.
