Have you ever opened up a package of Nutter Butters and immediately wanted to eat the whole thing in one sitting? I know I have. These peanut butter sandwich cookies are just too addicting. But instead of giving in to temptation, I decided to get creative and turn my Nutter Butter cravings into an adorable winter dessert – Nutter Butter Snowmen!
These snowmen treats are a fun and festive treat the whole family will love. You can get your kids on helping you with these – they will have a blast constructing and decorating their very own snowmen.
Best of all, these snowmen require no baking – just some dipping and decorating. So grab a pack of Nutter Butters and get ready to unleash your inner artist! Winter is the perfect time for a peanut buttery surprise.
How to Store Nutter Butter Snowmen
Store your nutter butter snowmen in an air tight container in a cool, dry place such as the pantry or a cupboard. Avoid storing them in the fridge.
If you need to stack your snowmen on top of each other, make sure to separate each layer with parchment paper or wax paper. This will prevent them from sticking together and ruining their cute appearance.
For longer storage, you can freeze your nutter butter snowmen. Place them in a freezer-safe container or bag and store them in the freezer for up to 2-3 months. When ready to eat, let them thaw at room temperature for about 15 minutes before enjoying.
About the Ingredients for Nutter Butter Snowmen
Melting chocolate – Use bright white candy melts or melting chocolate for perfectly white snowmen. You can use white chocolate but your snowmen will have a yellow tint to them.
Nutter Butter – You will need regular nutter butter cookies.
M&Ms – Use mini M&Ms for the buttons, and regular M&Ms for the ear muffs.
Carrot sprinkles – You can get these in the Wilton snowman kit – which I was unable to find in Canada when I made these. I was able to order a snowman sprinkle mix from Etsy that was reasonably priced and ships from within Canada. You could also just use orange tic tacs or even snip pieces of orange starburst into a carrot shape.
Black nonpareils – I used the second smallest size of these black nonpareils. You could also use edible marker, or pipe melted chocolate for the eyes and mouth.
Fruit roll ups – For the scarves, cut thin strips of fruit rolls ups. You can also use laffy taffy or other ribbon candy.
