Materials Needed to Assemble the Pop Up Card
- The template (Download below)
- Cardstock
- Colour Printer
- Scissors
- Glue
How to Make the Pop Up Christmas Card
the complete instructions are included in the pdf template file that you will be printing off. For reference, I have included photos of the steps to take below.
The first step is to download the template, and print it on good quality cardstock.
Next you need to fold the inner card sheet in half along the dotted line. I found it easier to get a clean fold by folding it the opposite way first so I could follow the guide, then folding it the correct way.
With the card still folded, cut slits along the smaller dotted lines. Open the card up and pull the “glue” tabs outward. Fold the card carefully to create “platforms”.
Then cut out the gingerbread cookies and house.
Glue these on the tabs indicated by the glue icon.
Be sure the bottoms stop at the bottom dotted lines.
Fold the outer card sheet in the same way. Glue the outer card sheet to the inner card sheet. Printed sides facing out.
Cut out the remaining decorations and glue to the card as desired.
