Chicken Soup for the Soul books have an excellent reputation and this book is truly a testament to this reputation. Each story begins with a line from scripture, tells a real life story from the author and then ends with a prayer. I felt encouraged, inspired, and uplifted while reading all the stories. Whether you are married, common-law, engaged or in a long-term relationship, we all know there are times we struggle with our lives and our relationship with our significant other. This book is a great way to take a moment daily to refresh and take comfort in what you have, no matter how imperfect it may seem at times!
The stories have been categorized under the following topics: Honoring Our Commitment, The Power of Prayer, Learning to Communicate, Embracing Our Differences, Recapturing the Magic, Facing Our Challenges Together, Surrender It All, Second Chances, A Change in Perspective, and Together in Strength.
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotional Stories for Wives would really make a perfect gift for engaged couples as a wedding shower gift!

I love all the Chicken Soup For The Soul books I have read. I haven't read this one, probably because I am not married anymore. I would like to get it for my daughter though. They need it.
