Bring Your Child’s Artwork to Life with Budsies

I have two little artists in my home who love to spend their time colouring, drawing and doing paper crafts. I love watching them create new pieces of art and seeing how proud they are showing off their work.

When I was sent an email from Budsies asking if I would like to do a review of their service I knew it would be a perfect fit.  Budsies is a company that will take your child’s artwork and bring it to life by making them into custom stuffed animals.  Pretty cool, huh?

Once I showed the girls the website and some videos showing the process they got quickly excited to design their very own stuffed animal. They both went to work drawing and colouring furiously until they each had come up with their perfect design. I even joined in on the fun and spent some time drawing an adorable caticorn so I could have my very own too. What can I say? I’m still a child at heart!

The process was super easy to order our own Budsies and have our artwork turned into custom stuffies.

First, visit Budsies and click on GET STARTED! Here you will have the opportunity to Upload your artwork for your Custom Stuffed Animal and fill out a description to help the designer make your custom Plush exactly as you want it.

You can also choose to get a sneak peek, supersize your budsies plush or get a birth certificate. We upgraded to get the sneak peek, and I do recommend this option in case you want adjustments to your stuffed plush.  We were all happy with our sneak peaks and approved the plushes for shipping to us. Had we wanted anything adjusted with the design this upgrade does inlude one round of changes.

After you submit your design  you will receive updates along the way, and as this is a custom plush, it takes about 2 months from when you order to when you receive it.  Some of the updates I received included “selecting fabrics and drawing patterns”, “snip & sew” and “Quality Control”. It was resassuring to know things were moving along with our orders and helped to keep the kids excited while they waited.

The kids were thrilled to get their budsies in the mail after weeks of asking daily if they had arrived yet.

As a parent, it was so much fun to see how excited my girls got when they were finally able to hug and hold their artwork as a custom stuffed animal. I have to be honest, I was pretty excited to check out my caticorn too, it turned out even better than I had imagined it would!

The quality of the stuffed animals and the details included are just perfection, the fabrics used are high quality, super soft and huggable. I loved that they took the time to even get the colour patches on Ava’s pig just right.

They even followed Keira’s design right down to the red stitching everywhere. These were all details the girls were carefully inspecting to ensure everything was just so.

I felt that the process of making Budsies was seamless and easy with a level of communication that was unexpected and totally appreciated as a customer. The hardest part of this entire process for us was waiting for our Budsies to arrive in the mail, but we all knew it was worth the wait the minute we opened our package!

 When you see the excitement on your childs face when they receive their Budsie, you will know that it was worth every penny invested in this custom stuffed animal.  I know that my girls will cherish their new friends forever.
