Treat yourself with the NEW Van Houtte Specialty Collection
I love my coffee. It’s pretty much an addiction for me – I start my day with one and end it with one too – and usually a few more in between those two. I usually drink my coffee black but every now and then I like to treat myself to a specialty coffee from a coffeehouse. There is just something about the frothy sweetness of a specialty coffee to make me feel like I am really indulging and enjoying life. Honestly, it feels a thousand times better than sitting down with a piece of chocolate cake.
Thanks to the Van Houtte® Specialty Collection, and my Keurig 2.0, I am able to enjoy some of my coffee house favourites, such as cappuccino’s, moccaccino’s, caramel macchiato’s and vanilla lattes, right from the comfort of home.
The Van Houtte® Specialty Collection is available in boxes of 6 or 12 and each beverage makes use of a packet along with a K-Cup® pod.
The instructions are simple enough:
- Empty packet into your favourite 10 oz (296 ml) mug.
- 2Brew your K-Cup® pod using the 8 oz (236 ml) format on your Keurig® K-cup® brewer.
- Stir well & enjoy!
I did find that I preferred to use the 10 oz format rather than the 8. I also noticed that I achieved a smoother consistency and better froth if I stirred vigorously while it was brewing rather than after. When I stirred after, especially if I left it for a few minutes first then the powder from the packet wouldn’t dissolve as nicely. Of course, I would start by just following the recommended instructions and go from there as your experience may be different from mine.
The result of each flavour though is a delicious hot beverage that tastes like it came straight from a coffee house. I think my favourite flavour is the Vanilla Latte, although I seriously am enjoying all four flavours. I just can’t get enough of the creamy, perfectly sweetened specialty coffees from Van Houtte® Specialty Collection.
Vanilla Latte – Prepared with rich coffee, Vanilla latte unveils the sweet flavours of vanilla bean with a silky froth finale.
Mocaccino – Chocolate and coffee marry perfectly, uniting the round flavours of fresh coffee, slightly sweet cocoa notes, and a luscious swirl of froth.
Caramel Macchiato – Decadent Caramel Macchiato blends a fresh coffee flavour with the irresistible taste of sweet, buttery caramel with a touch of froth.
Cappuccino – Prepared with rich coffee and the perfect quantity of froth, this Cappuccino is subtly sweet and deliciously creamy.

All of the specialty coffee’s are so awesome… I actually like them all! But if I had to pick just one I think it would be the Caramel Macchiato.

This is fantastic coffee. I will have to pick up some Caramel Macchiato to try. There are so many delicious flavors to choose from.

I just finished VH vanilla latte! I add 4 oz water to dry and mix it up before the 8 oz STRONG coffee addition… LOVE IT!
