One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish Ice Cream Sundae

“From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere” . . . So begins this classic Beginner Book by Dr. Seuss. Beginning with just five fish and continuing into flights of fancy, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish celebrates how much fun imagination can be. From the can-opening Zans to the boxing Gox to the winking Yink who drinks pink ink, the silly rhymes and colorful cast of characters create an entertaining approach to reading that will have every child giggling from morning to night: “Today is gone. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”

This is a fun Sundae celebrating One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; perfect for celebrating Dr. Seuss day or any little ones Dr. Seuss themed birthday.  This is sure to tickle the fancy of any Dr. Seuss fan, young or old.

Ingredients

Vanilla Ice Cream
Blue Syrup (recipe follows)
Whipped Cream
Swedish Fish

 

Syrup

1 packet blue Kool Aid
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

In medium saucepan, bring Kool Aid, sugar, and water to a boil. Boil for 8 minutes, or until mixture starts to thicken. It will thicken more as it cools. Cool completely.

 

Directions:

Place two scoops of ice cream in a bowl.

Top with blue syrup.

Sprinkle a handful of Swedish Fish over the top.

Top with whipped cream.
