I was really excited when I found out I was pregnant with another girl. I figured there was really nothing for us to buy this time around aside from a second crib. We already had a wardrobe full of baby girl clothes I kept from Keira. Then I started going through the clothes and found stain after stain. Half the clothes were really only good for wearing around the house, and some barely fit that use. Then I started thinking about the fact that Keira’s summer wardrobe was all 3-6 month sized. Ava will most likely be in 6-9 month clothes in the summer, especially at the rate she is growing now. Boy, oh, boy – babies are expensive, even when they shouldn’t be!
Thanks to online childrens consignment stores like MiniTrade.ca though, I am able to flesh out Ava’s wardrobe with cute pieces at a fraction of what it should cost. I was invited to check out MiniTrade and ended up ordering some pretty cute clothes for Ava.
Minitrade.ca is a Canadian online boutique and trading service to shop for your kids clothing. What clearly sets MiniTrade apart from other online consignment stores is that they carry a wide variety of top quality name brands. You will find plenty of standard brands like Old Navy, Children’s Place, Carters, Gymboree and more as well as higher end brands like Juicy Couture, Ralph Lauren, and DKNY. I love the selection they have available as they are all brands I have previously purchased and loved.
I love that I am able to fill out her wardrobe at a price we can easily afford without sacrificing my high standards when it comes to both style and quality. I mean, I think the items I found are really cute!
MiniTrade.ca say that they pride themselves on their “strict adherence to quality standards that must be upheld by our members and the provision of apparel that is on trend.” and then they continue to say that “Every item traded in is examined by the pickiest screeners around – moms! Minitrade.ca members will feel like they’re being tended to by a personal shopper as the fuss of shopping for the best looks at the best prices are taken care of for them!”
With that in mind, I was really excited when the MiniTrade.ca box arrived.
When I opened the box I found inside neatly folded clothes and upon further inspection found that each piece actually looked both new and unworn. I mean, they are in pristine condition. Click on the photos and you can see for yourself. Aren’t these pieces just adorable?
For just under $50 I was able to get a nice start on her summer wardrobe and fill out her current size. Score!
The website is also very easy to navigate and search through. The pictures are big and clear and you can sort the clothes by gender, size, colour, condition and even by season! I adore that the clothes are even sorted by season, it really made my life a lot easier.
MiniTrade.ca can also help you rid your home of outgrown clothes. The process is very simple: order a free clean out bag on minitrade.ca. Once you receive it, fill it with gently-used kids clothes that meet their high quality standards and drop it at the post office or request a pick-up at home. This service is completely free. Once the bag is received the clothes are inspected and you are then granted store credits. They pay 20% of the resell price upfront. You can get higher credits for sending in high end brands and new clothes with tags on.
You can then use your credits to up-size your quickly-growing children’s wardrobe.
