Lovely to dream about when this is over.

This is a stupid question however I can't get a straight answer from anyone. Is taking a cruise to the. Bahamas , Caribbean, , Jamaica cheaper than staying in a hotel on the water? And cruises that say $249 pp does that mean per person per nite? I know you are not a travel agent but sometimes the traveler knows a lot more than the so called travel expert. I'm new to all this....thanx for your help.
