Summer seems to be quickly on it’s way in and personally I am hoping for a hot one!

We’re already planning our summer vacation and thinking about what we want to do with the girls this year.  Top on that list is family camping in Ontario!

Growing up I spent most of my summer camping across family camping in Ontario and its a tradition I would like to carry on.  There was nothing like falling asleep to the whisper of the leaves in the wind across the forest or spending the day sun-bathing and building sand castles at the beach.  These days though, it’s a wonderful opportunity to force myself to unplug and just enjoy life, create new memories with my family and relax.

Looking into my options for family camping in Ontario I stumbled upon Carefree RV Resorts.  Now we don’t own an RV but Carefree RV Resorts actually offer rentals including rustic cabins and vacation cottages which is perfect for us.  Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind tent camping myself, but throw in two little ones and I don’t see too much rest or relaxation going on.  A cabin or a cottage sounds like the perfect solution for carefree family camping to me.

You can find 15 Carefree RV Resorts scattered all across Ontario so there is sure to be one near your ideal destination for family camping in Ontario.

  7. Both my children, who live in AB, always go camping together at least once a year with their children – one has an RV and the other a tent. The kids thoroughly enjoy themselves with each other and their parents get a bit more peace too 🙂
