My family is a family of snackers, but we all love our snacks to be healthy and nutritious. Keira loves her fruit, veggies and breads but will turn her nose at most sweets. She definitely gets that from the both of us. One snack we often have on hand is Wholly Guacamole, and now that they are more available, Beanitos as well. I was recently sent a case of Beanitos Chips and coupons for Wholly products for my family to enjoy.
I’ve been careful during this pregnancy not to actually eat for two as I do not want gain another 30 lbs and I’d like to keep on track as far as my portions and snacking go. One way that makes it easy to keep on top of this is purchasing single-servce snacks. Both Wholly and Beanitos have single-serve portions available which make it easy to not only snack healthier but to also stick to my goals as far as portion control.
I absolutely love Guacamole but rarely make it myself as it is hard to find avocados that are just perfectly ripe. Problem solved with Wholly Guacamole. I’ve been 100% converted to Wholly Guacamole since first reviewing them over a year ago. I almost always pick up a pack of the original guacamole while at the grocery store as I love that it is made with natural ingredients and tastes just so good. I’ve also found that adding a few squirts of lime juice makes it even tastier. Mmm!
When I went to use the coupons I was sent, I was happy to find that my local grocer was finally stocking the salsa and other Wholly products. I was excited to finally get to try the Avocado Verde which was beyond delicious. It’s got the acidity of salsa with a touch of the smoothness of guacamole. I actually can’t believe I’ve been missing out on it all this time!
Beanitos are a chip made from beans that are full of protein and fiber which keeps you feeling full faster and longer than normal chips. Beanitos actually have 3x the protein of other baked chips! Being a heavy snacker I was doubtful that just one single serve bag would do but after just one there was no way I could continue on with a second bag. The fact that they are also Gluten-Free and Corn-Free as well as being a low glycemic snack makes them perfect for just about everyone. My favourite flavour out of the four I was sent was the Nacho cheese, although they were all quite good – satisfyingly crispy and well seasoned. They are great with and without salsa or guacamole!
