In need of a place to work, play, or relax? A shed’s the perfect solution! Small in space and investment, it easily fits in a backyard or garden and, as this inspirational design guide shows, can also be beautiful. From seemingly unpromising potting sheds to tired old summerhouses ripe for a makeover, Shed Decor reveals how the right combination of colors, fabrics, furniture, and accessories can transform an outdoor building. Whether you want a rustic hideaway or an urban den, a “salvage chic” office or a quirky creative hub, you’ll find hundreds of quick, inexpensive, and clever ideas to design an inviting room.

Shed Decor: How to Decorate and Furnish Your Favorite Garden Room is a visually stunning book that should be top of the list for mothers day gifts this year.  It reminds me a bit of the Ikea catalogue in that I literally sat and flipped through it gawking at one decor setup after the other.  It’s one of those decor books that not only present some amazing ideas but really inspires you with your own.  It’s enough to make me want to go out and buy a house with a nice amount of property and a shed just waiting for a redo.

Outdoor living spaces are quickly becoming a big thing from outdoor offices and studios to recreational areas.  It’s like everyone woke  up one day and remembered how much we all loved when our teachers told us we were going to go have class outside to learn.   Brilliant.

There are 225 full colour photographs included in the book and a variety of aesthetics and purposes to suit just about anyone.   We get a look at 6 different shed styles and the key elements that go into each including the rustic shed, the vintage shed, the plain and simple shed, the recycled shed, the retro shed and the country shed.

This book will really appeal to those interested in home décor, home improvement, DIY, and/or crafts.
